XL Flooring Co. Ltd. is a family owned, fast paced, progressive importers / distributors of luxury vinyl flooring from Asia. We have fast become North America’s most reliable and trusted flooring material within its product category. We sell to a strong network of retailers and commercial businesses across Canada and more recently, into the United States. Growth has been exponential in the past five years where sales have increased by more than 500%. As part of our program for continuous improvement, we are looking for new ideas and talent from dedicated team players who want to establish themselves and become part of a winning team. In particular, we are working hard to improve the customer experience and to guide them towards a more pleasant and helpful process of partnering with us.

In line with our progressive ideas, we are looking to create a new position of Internal Sales Coordinator who will be responsible for taking customer inquiries, answering questions and aligning the customer in the direction of the appropriate department and contact within our businesses. With a field based team of sales executives across Canada and into the United States, there will be occasions where inside support is required to best suit the needs of the customer and to assist the sales person in their absence away from the office.

We are in search of someone with a wonderful and expressive telephone manner and the written communication skills that leave nothing to doubt. The ideal candidate will have had experience in a similar fast paced environment before and a proven track record in a sales oriented business. We require imagination and an element of self-management after full training has been provided. A proactive approach to managing personal time and responsibilities is very important. Our customers deserved to be ‘loved’ and that’s exactly what we want to show them.

Based in a beautiful area of North Vancouver, the candidate would be more comfortable living within a 30 minute commute due to the continuous build up of traffic in recent years. A preference for working hours would be between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities
• Assisting with general inquiries from customers
• Answering questions relating to product detail and availability
• Confirming stock inventory levels at various warehouse locations
• Able to communicate (both written and verbal) in French will be an asset
• Supporting field sales team with requests for information
• Assisting customers with product knowledge and guiding them towards suitable options
• Proactively studying customer performance through analysis (with Sales Manager)
• Conduct customer satisfaction surveys through contact by telephone / email
• Working with dispatch department for effective distribution of customer samples
• Keeping customers up to date with product development
• Informing management of all customer concerns over quality of product and/or service experiences
