Junior Financial Analyst – Head Office Vancouver

We are currently looking for a Junior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic and energetic team. The Junior Financial Analyst reports to the Director, Finance & Supply Chain. This is a multi-focus role, with responsibilities in FP&A, Accounting and Supply Chain. This position will be working closely with the Senior Financial Analyst and Supply Chain Analyst.

Roles and Responsibilities:
▪ Financial Planning and Analysis
-Budgeting and Forecasting
▪ Assist in annual budget preparation
▪ Assist in quarterly reforecasting exercise
-Management Reporting
▪ Prepare monthly business review presentation (plus quarterly and annually)
▪ Assist in developing scorecard reporting
-Decision Support
▪ Assist in analyzing financial data and create financial models
▪ Assist in analyzing trends and recommend actions for optimization
▪ Prepare scenario modeling and create tools for business purposes
▪ Collect and analyze the impact of economic, forex and competitor data
-Business Intelligence
▪ Work with department managers and operators to develop and track KPIs
▪ Assist in developing dashboards and similar tools
▪ Become data mining expert in NetSuite
▪ Accounting
-Assist in Financial Statement preparation
-Assist in month end tasks and account reconciliation
-Support the Finance team during year end and interim audits, and inventory counts
▪ Supply Chain
-Assist in monthly inventory demand planning
-Prepare weekly updates on logistics and product trends

Requirements:
▪ Post-secondary degree in Business or related field
▪ Preferably enrolled in the CPA program
▪ 1 to 2 years of business experience, preferably in Accounting or Finance
▪ High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
▪ Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint is an asset
▪ Previous experience in NetSuite is a strong asset
▪ Previous experience in the retail, flooring, import or distribution industry is an asset
▪ Able to analyze and communicate data into business use
▪ Strong interpersonal skills
▪ Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment
▪ Attention to detail and staying organized at all times
▪ Effective time management and workload efficiency skills
